A contemporary architecture in dialogue with the landscape of Lake Annecy

This architectural project is designed as a response to an exceptional site: a sloping terrain offering a panoramic view of Lake Annecy and a remarkable natural setting. The house’s layout follows the contours of the land, integrating seamlessly into its environment while maximizing openings toward the landscape. Designed to enhance its natural surroundings, it combines modernity, elegance, and absolute comfort.

The volumetry, characterized by clean lines and reinterpreted dual-pitched roofs, offers a contemporary take on traditional Savoyard architecture. The project is structured in successive layers, alternating solids and voids to create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces.

Materials in harmony with the site

The house’s envelope combines raw and natural materials—stone, wood cladding, plaster, and glass—to engage in dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Large floor-to-ceiling glass openings extend the living spaces outward, reinforcing the feeling of immersion in nature.

The main living space, designed as an open-plan layout, benefits from a double orientation, capturing both the morning light and the last rays of the setting sun. A suspended terrace extends this space toward the lake, creating a natural belvedere where the landscape experience takes center stage. The infinity pool adds an extra touch of refinement, while the landscaped surroundings ensure privacy and serenity.

A bioclimatic project anchored in its territory

Designed according to bioclimatic principles, the house takes advantage of its orientation and the thermal inertia of materials to optimize thermal comfort throughout the year. The steeply pitched roof facilitates rainwater harvesting, while solar panels with an optimized orientation generate the electricity needed to power the home.

The interior, conceived in a modern loft spirit, consists of open and bright volumes, where every detail has been carefully considered to maximize comfort and well-being. The high-end kitchen, spacious living areas, and master suite with a lake view give this home a unique and exclusive character.
